Weekend Recap

It's been awhile since I've gotten any of my normal posts up, but I'm working on changing that!

The first few weeks of my semester were hectic as I was studying like crazy to kick ass on my first two exams. I also started out my semester sick (thanks to one of my lovely coworkers) and I was working a lot of hours and had a TON of half marathon races!

I also had a death in the family (my great-aunt passed away), so I missed Al's Run for the second year in a row. :(

Anyways, here's a few highlights from my weekend.

I hit up BodyAttack for the first time in a few weeks on Saturday morning and it was relaunch day! All the instructors wore Halloween costumes for the 55 minute HIIT cardio class, which amazed me! I wear shorts and a tank top ad I'm usually dripping sweat!

I love this wrap bracelet from Momentum Jewelry. I try to incorporate "live fearlessly" into my everyday life. I'm also happy to announce I will be a Momentum Jewelry Ambassador for the next 2 months! I'll have a discount code to share with you all and the opportunity to win some jewelry from Momentum!

Arthur is going to be the Milwaukee Lion for Halloween. He is not amused by his mother putting him in ridiculous costumes.

After this bulletin board sat on our stairs for easily several months, I finally convinced B to hang it up so I could display all my race bibs and medals. It's crazy to think about how far my running journey has taken me in the past three years and how excited I am for what's coming up!

P.S. Isn't my squishy Blerch stress ball adorable?

I participated in But First, Coffee's mug swap and got goodies from Sarah on Saturday! The bottom of the mug has a dog nose on it! She had also asked me what my favorite mantra is (if any of you have seen Misty Copeland's Under Armor campaign, you get this) and she made that little saying in the frame.

After getting up early (for a Sunday) and having brunch with my family, I took a nice nap and spent my afternoon drenched in running-related reading material. I've been using my Believe journal all year long and have found it very helpful in my training.

I also ran a 5K, PR'd with a time of 26:51, and placed 2nd in my age group!
Race recap is here.

I hope you all have a fantastic week!
