May Birchbox

I got my May Birchbox two weeks ago (it showed up in my mailbox on my birthday!) and because then finals happened and my HESI exam happened, I didn't get a chance to post. Also, since I am not one of those bloggers that does posts ahead of time and schedules them, you are getting this post now.

This month's theme: Beauty Diaries

In my box

amika Obliphica Nourishing Mask

Packed with omega acids and vitamin C, this lush conditioning mask boosts shine and even helps repair split ends.

COOLA Classic Face SPF 30 Cucumber Moisturizer for Face

This mineral sunblock is infused with organic anti aging ingredients like evening primrose extract and borage seed oil.

Marvis Classic Mint Toothpaste

A stylish Italian import with an invigorating peppermint flavor.

Sumita Color Contrast Eyeliner

Inspired by traditional Indian formulas, this velvety liner glides on easily and lasts for hours.

**Lifestyle Extra**
Runa Guayasa Tea

With more antioxidants than green tea, this caffeine-rich blend is made from Amazonian Guayasa leaves.

I was super excited to get the amika hair mask. I LOVE LOVE LOVE amika products and actually used up two full-sized tubes of this same hair mask and never got around to reordering but I'm glad I got this sample. All the amika products smell amazing, too!

The COOLA face sunscreen smells really light and fresh, which is a nice departure from the typical sunscreen scent (which I personally cannot stand) and I love that it's SPF 30. I'm kind of a sunscreen nut and go through several tubes each summer because I'm a crazy paranoid against skin cancer person.

I'm not sure how I feel about the toothpaste. It smells nice but all the reviews on the Birchbox website say that it's kind of waxy and it also doesn't have any fluoride in it, which is a big thumbs down.

I don't talk about makeup very much on here (I'm by no means a guru and I don't wear a lot of makeup) so I'm honestly not sure how I'm going to feel about this eyeliner. My allergies are pretty bad (if any of you out there have terrible seasonal allergies, you feel my pain) and it mostly makes my eyes super itchy, which is why I always wear waterproof mascara because it doesn't rub off as easily. So I will let you all know how I feel about the eyeliner once I use it a few times.

The Runa tea is AMAZING. I'm a big tea (and coffee, obviously) drinker and I love the teas in this little set! It came in a box with 4 samples of flavors - ginger citrus, traditional, cinnamon lemongrass, and mint. I've had the cinnamon lemongrass and the mint so far and they are awesome.

Birchbox is a monthly subscription service that puts 4-5 deluxe beauty samples (plus extras!) in your mailbox for just $10 per month! Not only will you get exposed to new and exciting products by brands that may be new to you, but if you love the products you can buy them through Birchbox's website and earn points towards future purchases. You can also leave feedback on products in your box and get 10 points for each piece of feedback. 100 points gets you $10 to spend in the Birchbox shop!
