What I’m Loving - March 2024

Well friends, it looks like we were definitely victims of a fool’s spring here in southeastern Wisconsin. After having a few weeks of absolutely gorgeous (for March) weather, the snow and freezing temperatures have returned.

I’m very much looking forward to everything that comes along with warmer weather - planting some gorgeous flowers around our home, cute yet sophisticated outfits that don’t need a coat overtop due to the cold, being able to eat outside at our favorite restaurants, and longer stretches of daylight.

Watching:

While scrolling through the “Recently Added” category on Netflix, B and I stumbled across The Gentlemen. The premise is that Eddie inherits his father’s title and estate, however the estate is home to a drug empire. The woman running the drug empire, Susie Glass, is awesome and has a badass wardrobe. I really enjoyed this show - the acting and cinematography are top notch.

Reading:

B picked up this book for me after our trip to Kennedy Space Center at the beginning of the month. Wild Ride is the memoir written by Hayley Arceneaux, a physician assistant childhood cancer survivor who was one of the 4 civilians who manned the SpaceX Inspiration 4 Mission. She was chosen by St. Jude, which is the hospital she works at and where she receive treatment for osteosarcoma. St. Jude was the recipient of all the fundraising done for the Inspiration 4 mission. - $243 million! A quick and uplifting read and I highly recommend it!

Wearing:

I’ve been really embracing the whole ‘Parisian chic” look - black and white, denim, stripes. I’m also doing a lot of curation when it comes to my clothing and have drawn a lot of inspiration from Pinterest and Instagram. When it comes to clothing, I’m trying to stick to mostly classic and versatile pieces and investing in well made items.

I have this outfit with similar items in my LTK shop - some of the items (like the boots) I’ve had for a few years but I found a few that are very similar.
