What I’m Loving - February

In light of what has transpired in Ukraine over the past several days, I want to start this post with a list of places to donate to help the people of Ukraine during this time of unimaginable conflict. May their tenacity and strength be an inspiration to us all.

The Ukrainian Red Cross - donate here
The International Medical Corps - donate here
Save the Children - donate here
Happy Paw Ukraine - donate here

Words a Ukrainian woman said to a Russian soldier as Russians stormed the streets of Ukraine. What a badass.

Watching:

I remember hearing about the two planes that crashed several years ago and found this documentary while I was looking for something to watch one night. This documentary goes into detail about the history of Boeing, how the company changed when they merged with McDonell Douglas and prioritized profits over safety, as well as the impact those decisions had on people and their families all over the world as they try to make sense of what happened. Another example of how corporate greed is detrimental to those of us “below” them. Definitely worth a watch.

Sarah Stewart Taylor is one of my favorite recently discovered authors (recent as in, I started reading her new series when the first book came out in 2020) and since her next novel doesn’t come out until June of this year, I decided to go back and read her original series that focuses on Sweeney St. George, an art historian who specialized in funeral art and finds herself in the midst of several mysteries related to things she is studying. I really like Sarah Stewart Taylor’s writing and so far have enjoyed these 3 out of the 4 Sweeney St. George series. I am currently reading the last book, Still As Death and so far really enjoy it!

Please share anything you loved in the month of February in the comments!
