What I’m Loving - February
Okay, I’m a little late with this post for the month of February but in my defense, I had a few long weeks go work and let me tell you, when you’re working nights and doing a bunch of them in a row, being functional outside of going to work/sleeping/eating is nonexistent.
Anyways, here’s some things I loved during the month of February.
Reading:
Sarah J. Maas is one of my favorite authors and her newest book, A Court of Silver Flames, was released halfway through February. This is the 5th book in her A Court of Thorns and Roses series and tells the story of Nesta Archeron, Feyre’s (the main character for the other books) sister and her journey in Prythian.
I’ll be reviewing this whole series coming up this year, but let me just say that this book was absolutely amazing. Sarah writes so incredibly and really transports you to the world that she has created.
Fair warning, this book is pretty sexually explicit, so if you love fantasy with a good dose of smut, you should check it out. :)
Wearing:
I received this shirt as a gift from one of my amazing nurse friends (worked with her in the ER until she graduated, now she’s blossoming into an amazing RN!) from Repeated Rhythms, a small, local business that makes shirts, headbands, and little kids clothing. I have several of her headbands (she offers a button option for those of us who have to wear masks at work!) and this shirt is one of her newest designs. This is one of my favorite quotes and makes me feel like a badass when I wear it! Bonus points to the fact that this is one of the softest shirts I own!
Watching:
I found this documentary about Lee Alexander McQueen one night while scrolling through Amazon video. Friends and family provided interviews and there was a ton of footage from his early career included. His genius and talent as well as his struggles were equally covered and at the end, it’s so sad that he had such a vibrant talent but felt so insanely alone. Definitely worth the purchase and watch in my opinion.
Thanks for stopping by and feel free to share your favorites of the month in the comments!
