My FlexPath Journey: RN -> BSN

I don't post a ton about my nursing career on this blog. It has been a long, twisting, winding road that started when I was 21 and brought me to my current position as an Emergency Department/Trauma Nurse at a level 1 trauma center.

Part of my professional growth is completing my Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. I am currently a Registered Nurse with an Associate's Degree in Nursing. I went to a local tech school (that I believe still has the highest NCLEX pass rate in my state) so that I had to take out minimal loans to pay for my program with the intention of working somewhere that would pay for me to complete my BSN.

After dealing with some significant communication failures with the first program I was going to do, I decided to switch to Capella University's FlexPath program. Several of my current coworkers are doing this program or have completed it and spoke very highly of it.

I'm going to share my experience on this blog so that if any other nurse runners out there are looking for options for BSN, they can get an idea of what it's like.

I'm currently completing my orientation and will (hopefully) be starting my first competency next week (as long as my last transcript gets sent to them, fingers crossed!)
