REI Force of Nature Discovery Box

REI offers a Discovery Box featuring some of their Force of Nature products as well as other products that are made by companies led by women. The box retails for $50 and is available online as well as in store.

Let's take a look at the contents.

What's in the box?

Alpine Start Instant Coffee

Alex Hanifin, a natural food rock star, runs Alpine Start as the CEO. Her mission is to make great tasting, affordable instant coffee that's perfect for on the go or up in the mountains.

Art 4 All Trucker Hat

Using a wide range of styles and fabrics, mountain gal Abby Paffrath uses her love of the outdoors to create her one-of-a-kind hats.

FinalStraw Reusable Straw

FinalStraw aims to accomplish one major goal - end plastic straw use with one game-changing, reusable straw. CEO Emma Rose Cohen and team have created the straw. Now you just have to use it.

Good + Well Supple Co. Candle in Yellowstone

Meagan McLaughlin found a way to take the scents we long for - like pine trees, sweet grass, cedar wood - and package them up as  100% soy candles for our homes.

Heather's Choice Packaroons in Orange Vanilla

Created by Heather herself, this is adventure fuel for wherever life takes you. High quality food is sourced to create packable, dehydrated, and delicious provisions.

Rinse Bath & Body Co. Peppermint Essential Oil Roller

These 100% pure essential oils from Heather Swanepoel are blended with 100% pure squalene oil, creating a therapeutic roll-on that helps what ails you.

REI Co-op Force of Nature 32 fl oz. Nalgene Bottle

Strong and leakproof, this wide-mouth water bottle designed by L.A. artist Laci Jordan celebrates the power of women.

REI Co-op Force of Nature Bandana

This cotton bandana - bedecked with powerful words contributed by co-op members - stakes your claim as a force when you sport it on the trail.

The box also includes a copy of Force of Nature: A Collection of Art and Stories Celebrating Fearless Women published by REI.

As mentioned above, this box sells for $50 and has a retail value of $120.

Given what comes in the box, I feel that $50 is a good value for the goods in the box. I'll be saving some of these items (the packaroons, coffee, and bandana) for our next road trip. The hat will be rehomed, as I'm not big on hats in general. And I love a good Nalgene bottle, they always come in handy!
