Dog Gear I Love: The Ruffwear Front Range Harness
Ever since Arthur was about a year old and somewhat weighty, we have used a harness when taking him for walks or hikes as well as when we take him places. Many of our friends who have very active dogs recommended Ruffwear's harnesses. We first tried one by Kong but it was kind of flimsy and Arthur grew out of it really quickly, so we decided to invest in the Ruffwear Harness.
We have been using the Poppy Orange Front Range Harness for the past three years (yes, the same one!) and we absolutely love it!
There are two clips to attach your leash - one on the front, which is very useful if you are working on your dog not pulling when on walks and one on the back, which I use when I've got him hooked up to my waist leash for running. The back clip is metal and securely fastened to the back piece of the harness.
Both the chest and back pieces have padding to provide some cushion for your pup. And if the harness gets muddy or dirty? Just rinse it in the sink or with the hose and let it air dry!
The side pieces with the straps are easy to adjust to fit your dog.
I have nothing but great things to say about this harness. Ruffwear is a great brand and we have several pieces of gear from them (which will have reviews coming up!).
Arthur wears a medium in Ruffwear and has a chest circumference of 32 inches.
