August Illumicrate Box

In the last year, I cancelled most of my beauty subscription boxes because A) I wasn't using most of the products and B) many of the products I was getting between the Sephora PLAY! Box and Birchbox were repeats. I'm also trying to integrate more natural and vegan options into my beauty and skincare, so it made sense to stop getting the boxes and take the money I was spending on those to put towards more natural options.

I do, however, love myself some happy mail. So I found a discount code for Illumicrate, which is a bookish-themed subscription box and thought WHY NOT? It is a quarterly subscription box (August, November, February, and May) that runs 29.99 pounds (European company) plus shipping to the US is an additional charge. I figured for that amount and that you get a book + a ton of other goodies in each box, it would give me something to look forward to.

August was my first box, so I thought I'd share it with you all!

In my box:

Wonder Woman: Warbringer by Leigh Bardugo
(Exclusive Edition)

The inimitable icon Diana Prince on her first quest featuring awesome women, friendship goals, and lots of action. Enjoy this Illumicrate exclusive edition with red sprayed edges and an exclusive pin.

Alethiometer Coaster with artwork by Hannah Hitchman Art

Book Money Jar & Sticky Bookmarks by Blossom Books

Also included were a bunch of extras from some publishers and an ARC of Nyxia, which has gotten great reviews in the bookblogosphere so I can't wait to dive into it.

I love having such cute book-related stuff! I already started my Book Money fund and the coaster is very well made - already has a home on my desk! I've also heard great things about Leigh Bardugo as an author so I'm definitely looking forward to reading WonderWoman. Plus, a pouch and some post-it notes? YES! All the yes.

If you're interested in checking out Illumicrate and signing up, check out their website here. They also have pictures of past boxes!
