Aftershokz Trekz Titanium Review

I am one of those runners that needs to have some sort of noise when I'm running (or exercising in general, to be honest). I have probably 30 different "running" playlists and I also listen to podcasts and audiobooks when the mood strikes.

I'm also someone who is hyper-paranoid. I'm always conscious of what/who is around me, where any cars are (and which direction(s) they're traveling), the weather, etc. So being aware of my surroundings is something I take very seriously.

Enter: Aftershokz Trekz Titanium.

These over the ear bluetooth headphones use bone conduction to deliver sound to your ear. They go in front of your ear, not IN your ear, so that you can hear anything and everything around you.

You can also use them to answer phone calls.

These have quite a long battery life (I've only charged it twice since I got it!) and easily connects to your phone's bluetooth. There are volume controls on the right arm of the headset that are easy to use when on the run.

I was surprised that there was virtually no bounce from the piece that wraps around the back of my head, since I know that would drive me nuts while running, especially in a race. I'm also able to wear these comfortably with sunglasses as well.

They are foldable, lightweight, and sweat proof. Each pair comes with a carrying case and a set of earplugs, just in case you need to block out all noise.

I love this product and that they are really encouraging runners to be active participants in their safety. You can never count on a driver or biker or anyone else to see you, so you need to be aware of where these things are when you're out and running. If you're running alone, you should be able to hear anyone around you and be able to keep yourself safe.
