July Birchbox

The monthly special box for July was "Rise and Shine", with products selected to "help you get out the door fast and look great".

In my box:

dr. brandt PoreDermabrasion

A boost of salicylic acid unclogs pores, caviar lime brightens, and lentil seed improves skin texture.

Milk Makeup Sunshine Oil

This portable rollerball brightens, deeply hydrates, and gives skin a dewy glow thanks to seven essential oils.

Elizabeth Mott It's So Big Volumizing Mascara

A single wipe of this volumizing mascara curls and thickens without clumping, smudging, or flaking.

Klorane Smoothing and Relaxing Patches with Soothing Cornflower

Soothing underage patches packed with fast-acting botanicals that fade fine lines, dark circles, and puffiness.

Living Proof No Frizz Nourishing Styling Cream

This lightweight cream blocks humidity, conditions, and smoothes each strand to eliminate frizz.

*Bonus! Living Proof No Frizz Shampoo and Conditioner*

The two samples I was most excited about (and why I picked this box) was for the dr. Brandt PoreDermabrasion and the Klorane eye patches. I've tried several samples of products from dr. Brandt and really liked all of them. I have massive pores on my face (especially on my cheeks and nose) so I like scrubs that really get them clean! I've heard a lot about the Klorane patches and wanted to try them out before I went out to purchase some. I have tried a couple different eye patches from Sephora that I liked (and to be honest, they're probably less expensive). The shampoo/conditioner I'll be saving for my trip to Bird Camp and I will be passing the mascara on to a friend's daughter. My oily skin doesn't allow for me to wear non-waterproof mascara.

With the changes to their points program, I don't know if I'm going to continue my subscription to Birchbox. I could justify spending the $10 a month if I was getting $5/month back in points, but I don't feel that the service is 100% worth it with the changes, especially since I would say I only keep/use 3 out of every 5 samples I get.
