Rock 'N Sole 2015 Race Day Eve
Hello all!
Instead of my normal Friday Love List post, I thought I would share some of my race day eve thoughts with you as well as the "routine" I find myself doing the night before a race.
The very first thing I do is (after packet pick-up, of course) put together my flat runner :)
I will be wearing:
- my Asics (I have no idea what model number or name these are, I bought them last year and only wore them for one race)
- the Oiselle singlet!
- Oiselle cable knit arm warmers (on sale in 3 colors for $22/pair!)
- mac rogas in midnight (similar)
- Armpocket for iPhone 5C
- yurbuds
- PROCompression socks
- Garmin 10 GPS watch
- FitBit Flex
- an Oiselle temporary tattoo
Still contemplating whether I will be wearing a hat or a pair of sunglasses. I won't be packing my spike bag until tomorrow, but I will have a race day essentials post coming up probably on Sunday.
Usually the night before a race, I tend to do a lot of cleaning. Since I tend to get up so early, I like having a clean bathroom, kitchen, and living room. I'm planning on getting up around 4:00 am; the race begins at 7, we will probably leave to head down there around 5:30-5:45 so that we can find a parking spot and I can warm up. I panted my nails, did a face mask (all that sweat wreaks havoc on my face!) and washed my clothes for tomorrow. After eating dinner (I gave in and had a cheeseburger and some cheese curds since I didn't have a chance to go grocery shopping yesterday) I prepped everything on my dining room table and cleaned the junk out of my car. Something about doing all that cleaning is quite cathartic for me, I don't know why!
We are also going to Fido Fest with Arthur tomorrow afternoon so I'm going to need lots of coffee!
I will also have a race recap up as well as a race review on
Bibrave.com tomorrow evening!
Have a great weekend, everyone!
