Boston Strong - 2 Years
(from The Boston Marathon FB page)
It has been two years since the horrific act of violence that marred the finish line of the Boston Marathon.
The running community is very large and very small at the same time. We all feel a sense of camaraderie with each other, even with people we've never met. So the bombing felt like an attack on my friends, all those people I never met who were pushing through those 26.2 miles.
It's been said before and I'll say it again, runners are the wrong group to mess with if you're trying to break the human spirit.
The city of Boston (as well as other cities all over the country) are commemorating today with quiet acts of kindness. I can't think of a better way to honor the memory of the lives that were lost and the determination of those who were injured.
We are all Boston Strong.
