October Birchbox
This month seemed to be a disaster for Birchbox. First of all, I received a replacement box for my normal once since I never received mine...on the last day of October. I had also ordered as part of the Birchbox Plus offerings a beautiful Loren Hope bangle bracelet; I received an EMPTY bubble mailer that was supposed to contain my bracelet.
Luckily, Birchbox customer service is awesome and sent out a new bracelet as well as a replacement box since mine seems to have gotten eaten by the USPS.
In my box:
Clarisea Rapid Detox Charcoal Exfoliant
What: Made with sea salt and scorched bamboo, this all-natural scrub battles blackheads and oil.
How: Mix a dollop of scrub with water in your palm. Gently massage onto face, then rinse.
Essentiel Elements Wake Up Rosemary Shower Gel
What: Luxe cleanser that infuses skin with nourishing honey and softening rosemary and mint oils.
How: Massage onto damp skin with a washcloth or loofah to generate lather. Rinse clean.
LuMESH Hydrating Lip Gloss in Sadie
What: This high-shine gloss delivers color packed with moisturizing, anti-aging botanicals.
How: Sweep onto lips on its own, or layer over lipstick for a multidimensional hue.
ModelCo POWERLASH High Impact Black Mascara
What: With a unique brush, this Australian brand's mascara adds length and volume to every lash.
How: Coat lashes from base to tip, slightly wiggling wand as you go. Layer for extra drama.
Paula's Choice Skin Balancing Super Antioxidant Concentrate Serum with Retinol
What: This silky treatment battles acne and aging at once, and shrinks the look of pores.
How: Using fingertips, smooth a drop or two onto clean face and neck. Follow with moisturizer.
I feel kind of...indifferent towards this box. While the shower gel smells beautiful and the lip gloss is a really pretty color, the gloss sample size is MINISCULE and the charcoal exfoliant had opened in transit, spilling everywhere in the box. I feel bad reaching out AGAIN since I've already had two issues this month and customer service was wonderful about rectifying the problems.
If anyone would like reviews of these products as I use them, please let me know in the comments!
