April Birchbox

Nothing like waiting until the last week of April to put up my Birchbox review, right?!

April's box theme was "Rainy Days".

In my box:

Color Club Gala's Gems Collection - Gold Struck

What: We teamed up with style blogger Gala Gonzalez to create this exclusive shimmery shade.
How: This formula has a luxe pearl finish. Apply two coats, followed by a top coat.

Cynthia Rowley Beauty Silver Eyeliner

What: The NYC-based designer's new metallic liner foes on smoothly for long-lasting wear.
How: Glide along lash line for a defined look or blend within 30 seconds for a smoky eye.

derma.e Hydrating Night Creme with Hyaluronic Acid

What: All-natural, antioxidant-packed hydrator that helps skin recover while you snooze.
How: At bedtime, smooth a thin layer over clean face and neck.

Gilchrist & Soames Spa Therapy Body Wash

What: Infused with marine extracts, this gentle wash leaves skin hydrated and freshly scented.
How: Squeeze onto loofah or washcloth and work into a rich lather. Apply to skin, then rinse.

KIND Snacks Healthy Grains Bar - Maple Pumpkin Seeds with Sea Salt

What: The perfect combo of salty and sweet, these delicious treats pack a whole-grain punch.
How: Toss 'em in your purse for gym bag for a healthy pick-me-up whenever, wherever.

Also, they included one of their "Rainy Day" tips in each box. I thought the one I got was funny since my little brother and I had gone to the Milwaukee Art Museum the day before my box arrived!

I'm super happy with the products I got this month. My first thought when I looked at the Color Club nail polish was that it looks like a dupe for the Marc Jacobs polish I got a few weeks ago before my trip to Nashville. It's a beautiful pinky neutral color.
The night cream sounds wonderful but I'm currently in the middle of an intense regimen from my dermatologist to clear my skin up. I'm debating if I should save it until all my skin craziness is done or pass it on to someone who can use it sooner.
Everyone can use a body wash and this one smells AMAZING. I think I might put it in B's travel toiletry kit because it's a more unisex scent.

This month, I opted to add a BKR glass water bottle (Birchbox offers add-ons to subscribers almost every month now) because I'm trying to transition away from all the plastic ones I have that are on their last leg. I really like this one and the hot pink cover, of course.
