Friday Love List & #backthatazzup
I can say that I'm glad this week is coming to a close. Between working 4 out of 5 days this week, studying for and taking an exam, and trying to squeeze in gym time (which I was quite unsuccessful at) AND trying to watch as much of the Olympics as I could, it's been busy!
This week will be closed out by working a 12-hour day, taking a Nutrition exam, and sending B off to winter camp with his guy friends while all of us wives go out to dinner on Saturday. In my opinion, that's a perfect way to celebrate Valentine's Day. :)
Here's a few things I loved this week.
I saw this during the week while I was taking a study break and it could not be more true. The amount of caffeine I take in is probably borderline unhealthy.
After rocking my exam yesterday (80%, yeah baby!) I did my Trader Joe's run and just so happened to pop by Target afterwards. Funny how that happens, right? I mean, I completely needed unicorn salt and pepper shakers, zebra scissors, flamingo and cheetah socks, rose gold flip flops, and a tank top. Makes sense.
This is how Riley looks whenever I have an exam to study for. He gets really upset that my focus isn't completely on him, so he camps out next to me. Poor fuzzball.
After a dinner of pesto chicken and risotto, there is nothing better than some Caramel Cashew custard from Kopp's. If you are ever in the Milwaukee area, Kopp's is a must. I may or may not write their flavors of the day in my planner so I know which days to go get custard. #notashamed
Can winter just be over now? We've had so many -50 degree days (slight exaggeration) and I'm over it. I already bought a new swimsuit for summer and my car is in desperate need of a car wash and detailing. Neither of which I can do in the current conditions. So Mother Nature, this is your warning. Get it together and bring some damn warmth!
I have been a Something Corporate/Jack's Mannequin/Andrew McMahon fan for quite a long time. From all of the albums, this is definitely in my top 5 favorite songs from him.
