Weekend Shenanigans!
I'm linking up with Sami for her (perhaps) last weekend shenanigans link-up! Go share your weekend!
I spent most of my weekend studying on the couch for the exam I took today (and totally rocked the shit out of with a 90%!) but I did find time to do a few other things that constituted fun. Which there isn't enough of in my life during finals week (actually, finals two weeks).
On Saturday morning I did a Target run for more wrapping paper and ribbon only to grab more Essie nail polish (the amount of nail polish I own is sickening) and the new Vaseline Rosy Lips ointment. Oh, and Mary-Kate Olsen being on the cover of Allure took me back to the "You're Invited to Mary-Kate and Ashley's" videos that my friends and I watched in 3rd/4th grade. Good times.
A quick trip to American Eagle to get some shirts for my baby brother resulted in a pink sparkle shirt and sparkle socks. Because sparkles.
B and I managed to get the Christmas tree decorated on Saturday morning and I already have tons of presents underneath it. There's something lonely about a tree with no presents. Am I right or am I right?
This is my manicure of the week with Essie's Hors D'oeurves. It's a gold glitter base with giant pieces of silver glitter in it. And it's gorgeous. And sparkly. It is also almost completely opaque with one coat and a second coat just makes it that much more shiny.
Riley was my study buddy all weekend. I had an exam for my med-surg class on genitourinary and hematology that I completely rocked today. As much as I know that he hated not getting any attention all weekend (that's a lie, I took so many breaks just to scratch his fat little belly!) but all the studying was obviously worth it. Plus it snowed a gazillion inches outside (okay, like 5, but still) and there were three multi-car pileups. One was 45 cars, one was 60 cars, and one was 30 cars. Scary stuff. Drive safely and wear your seat belts, folks.
Every year, my mom buys all of us (even B) ornaments that reflect something we accomplished in the past year. This year for St. Nick, she got me a little nursing student (literally, those are the exact colors of my clinical scrubs) carrying those bug books (there should technically be 5-6 more of them). She's also the only person in my family who actually reads this little ol' blog of mine (Hi Mom!) because none of my real life people know that I even write this.
Hope all of you had a lovely Monday! Here's to a great week!
16 days until Christmas!
