Friday Love List

I hope all of you had a wonderful, turkey coma-filled Thanksgiving! I joined my family for food festivities after work yesterday and I had never been happier to see all my mom's homemade noms. But I had a great time at work, everyone brought in Thanksgiving snacks (I made an extra pumpkin pie!) and we had so much fun with our kiddos. :)

Here's a few things I loved this week.

B joined me in seeing Catching Fire on Monday night. The movie was full of amazing and I cannot wait for Mockingjay part 1 to come out next year!

My contribution to Thanksgiving every year is to make the pumpkin pie. After a minor hiccup (forgot to pull the dough for the crust out of the fridge on Tuesday night) I got my bake on and knocked out TWO of these babies. One of the best smells in the world is pumpkin pie that is baking in the oven, hands down.

Requisite picture of B and I at my parents house. He hates getting his picture taken.

Then this happened. My most favorite microbrewery, Lakefront, brews a special Black Friday beer (this is the second year they've done this) and it can only be purchased at the brewery on Black Friday starting at 8 am. My best friend and I decided that there's nowhere we would rather be at 6 am on Black Friday in 14 degree weather before the sun even came up than waiting outside for beer, like normal people.

There were also brewery tours starting at 8 am so after we bought our three (that was the max) Black Friday IPAs and got our free pint glass, we hopped on a brewery tour that was led by none other than Jim Klisch, who is one of the owners and originators of Lakefront. So cool!

Then after the tour we may or may not have imbibed several beers while waiting for B to come pick our inebriated butts up from Lakefront. We did convince him to take us out for breakfast/lunch afterwards.

I cannot wait to try the beer I waited in freezing (literally, freezing) weather for 2 hours to buy. Come to mama!

Did anyone do any black friday shopping today or last night? I did all mine online...I'm all about going the extra mile to make sure I don't have to wear pants while shopping. I hit up Sephora and Victoria's Secret for some great deals and got free shipping as well!
