Weekend Shenanigans!
Time to share all the trouble I got into this past weekend!
On Saturday we had our third annual Friendsgiving. Normally, we host this the saturday after thanksgiving but genius here confused the date of Thanksgiving and thought it was the 21st, not the 28th. So we celebrated one week early, but everyone was cool with it. We ended up deep-frying two turkeys and smoking one, which turned out DELICIOUS. After eating so much that we could barely move, the 10 of us adults played a rousing game of Cards Against Humanity (which if you have never played it, you need to; it's full of hilariousness).
Kale and B making "Roadhouse Stuffing"...there were cornbread crumbles and chorizo involved.
Finished product: "Roadhouse Stuffing"
Deep-fried turkey #1 out of the fryer! This one had a cajun-style rub on it.
B and I made the decision to purchase a new down alternative comforter for our bed. He gave me a budget of $80 and I totally beat that ($62 with tax from
Amazon!). I had put the new comforter on the bed and folded up my old twin-sized one...I look over a few minutes later and Riley has claimed it as his own.
This picture inserted out of order, but this was pre-Friendsgiving Target run. Included: duplos, Hello Kitty coloring book and crayons, aluminum foil, and a box of cookies.
Technically this wasn't from this weekend, but this is what I look like when I'm stuck in traffic for AN HOUR and I only traveled TWO MILES. That is full of ridiculousness.
This is what my street looks like right now. I know that I live in Wisconsin and it snows here and gets cold here, yadda yadda yadda. However, I would prefer that it snows on Christmas Eve and melts on New Year's. Or I should just head south.
Go share your weekend with Sami!
