Friday Love List
Today was the first day all week that I was able to wake up on my own without an alarm. Surprisingly, I didn't sleep that late; I ended up getting up at 8:30...then read some blogs, had two cups of coffee and bagel, and lounged around in my pajamas until 10 am.
Our annual summer lakehouse weekend is only three weeks away, which means that the Type A freak inside me is already packing. Yes yes, I realize how crazy that sounds. But I'm really trying to pare down what I take with me (realistically, all I need are swimsuits and some pajamas) so I'm doing all this packing now so that I can go through it and weed out anything that is unnecessary.
Here's a few things I loved this week.
After searching EVERYWHERE for these two colors, the Target by my house FINALLY had them in stock. Essie's Bikini So Teeny (left) and Sunday Funday (right). Now the bigger problem: which one do I use first?!
I actually received all these things today, but I was so excited...I love getting mail! From left to right:
Arm Pocket Aero i-10 in Pink, Glitzy Glam
large waffle weave makeup bag in Hot Pink with hot pink and white chevron ribbon, white embroidery with my monogram, BaubleBar The Perfect Summer Stack (the sets are no longer available but the individual bracelets are
here), BaubleBar
Ice Cluster necklace, and the two bottom pieces are also from BaubleBar - triangle rose gold earrings and a pendant necklace in a pretty berry-pink color. The last two items I received for free because last week when I was trying to order my summer stack, the website was being ridiculously slow and not working. I tweeted the BaubleBar twitter account and a lovely woman named Nina contacted me asking about the problems I was having. She tossed those two items in as a thank you because I sent her a very detailed email about the problems I was experiencing. So thank you Nina from the BaubleBar SWAT team!
The biggest selling point on this baby was that it is completely waterproof! It seems to like to rain every time I run a race, so this was a completely worthwhile investment (and also cheaper than most of the ones I looked at...only $30 + shipping!) It also had all positive reviews which I feel really says something about the product. I will do a product review of this after I run my half marathon on August 17th.
Arm stack that I'm sporting today. From left to right:
Threads Nykelle in rose, BaubleBar Buddha bracelet (no longer available), American Eagle leather bracelet (no longer available), and
BaubleBar Gold Spike bracelet.
This candle from Bath and Body Works smells so much like summer that every time I burn it, it makes me wish I lived somewhere like Florida or California where they actually have a summer instead of here in Wisconsin, where it should be summer but its just...not. BOO!
...and I signed up to run this baby. Bring it on, Mad-town.
I'll be working all weekend, so I hope that you all have a more fun weekend than I will! (Not that my job isn't fun, but there is a restriction on what kind of fun we can have :) )
