Friday Love List

Happy Friday, lovelies! Sorry I have been MIA this week; I spent a lot of time getting together my paperwork for my nursing clinicals and going to doctor visits (ugh). 

This post is coming to you 45 minutes north of Milwaukee from Oostburg! Yes, it is our annual Lakehouse Weekend getaway with our friends! B and I came up last night with our friend whose in-laws own the house and grilled out. The boys just got back from a 10 mile bike ride (covered in mud and sweat) because B just bought a GoPro yesterday and wanted to try it out.

Everyone else is coming up today/tonight. B and I are making hawaiian pulled pork for dinner for everyone tonight. We make pulled pork pretty regularly since it's one of those dinners that you throw in the crock pot and forget; this recipe is new to us. I'll be sure to post the results! (And the link to the recipe, once I locate it.)

Here's a few things I loved this week.

 A bouquet of carnations in a heart vase (that I bought from Starbucks 7 years ago) brighten up our neutral living room.

 B drove on the way up here and we rocked out to the Space Jam soundtrack.

 This is where we will be until Sunday. So far, the weather is perfect.

 Toes in the water that is surprisingly NOT freezing cold!

The BFF and I had a girl's night and went to Maxie's Southern Comfort (one of my favorite restaurants) for their gourmet mac'n cheese night. I had the veggie mac, she had the portobello and bacon mac. Of course, we had sweet potato fries and wine as an appetizer.
