What I’m Loving - September
The last two months have gone by in a blur. With the plethora of cookouts, events related to the upcoming wedding of B’s best friend, and trying to fit in all the end of summer get togethers, time has really gotten away from me. Add in assisting with my sister in law’s wedding and participating in another upcoming wedding as well as planning a trip to Europe, I feel like I need more than 24 hours in a day lately.
I’ve got lots of travel-related content on the docket coming up, so if you’re curious about how B and I are planning our trip, stay tuned for those posts!
Watching:
I found this awesome YouTube Channel Love and London that is run by Jess, an American expat who has lived in London for 8 years. I love that she presents the information the way I prefer to travel - hit up local places as well as historical sites, save money, and enjoy being in London. She also has London guides, one of which is free if you sign up for her newsletter (London 101 Guide) as well as itineraries from 3 days to 6 days and itineraries by area.
Reading:
Once a year, I like to re-read one of Sarah J. Maas’s series. This year, I decided to re-read Throne of Glass, which is the story of Celaena Sardothien, an orphan/assassin who is taken out of prison by the crown Prince of the fictional world Erilea to compete in a series of tests to become the King’s Champion in exchange for her freedom (this is an extremely vague synopsis, I don’t wanna give anything away!).
I just absolutely love this series and these characters. They are wonderful and broken and help each other heal while weaving such an amazing story.
Wearing:
Birdies are some of my absolute favorite flats. I picked up these two on clearance, The Swan in emerald crystal and The Phoebe in emerald faux fur (both on clearance!) The insides of these shoes are so comfortable and feel like slippers and I thought they would be perfect to wear with my emerald green bridesmaid dress for the wedding I’m standing up in next month. The slippers might also be coming with me to Europe, we shall see!
If you are interested in some Birdies, I have a referral link for $20 off your first purchase. They also offer medical and teacher discounts!
Dreaming:
Okay, this is a long shot. But I figured eventually if I keep putting in for a lottery entry to the London Marathon, I might get in eventually, right?
It also just might be my motivation to get back into running.
