What I’m Loving - March

In like a lion, out like a lamb. March brought some snow and rain, but also some sunshine, Daylight Savings time (gotta love that daylight, something I don’t see often as a night shifter!) and warmer temperatures. I’ve got plenty to look forward to as the days grow longer and more sunny, including some vacation time coming up and two trips!

Watching:

During one of my nightly scrolls looking for a series to watch, I searched on Peacock TV and found this miniseries based on Dan Brown’s book The Lost Symbol. As a fan of The DaVinci Code, I was all about another thriller/historical show to watch so I binged it in one night. The show features Robert Langdon and a search for a mysterious power that is protected by the Freemasons. The show also features Eddie Izzard as Robert’s mentor, Peter Solomon.

While the show is not thee absolute best series I’ve watched, I enjoyed it for what it was. If you already subscribe to Peacock, it’s definitely something to pop on and enjoy.

Reading:

Colleen Hoover is an author that I’ve heard a lot about but never read any of her books. A friend of mine posted on Instagram that she read this one and really liked it - and I’m always down for a psychological thriller. I managed to read this one in three shifts at work and enjoyed it! I don’t want to spoil it, but there was an awesome twist at the end that had my heart going a million beats per minute!

Wearing:

After wearing mismatched sweatpants/shorts and random t-shirts for a long time as pajamas, I decided that now that I’m in my 30’s I want to have mostly matching pajamas. I tried a few pairs from Print Fresh but really didn’t like the stiffness of the fabric despite repeated washings. These sets from Stars Above at Target are super soft and comfortable as well as affordable - only $29.99/set! Lots of different colors and patterns available in stores and online - I love this leopard set as well as the mauve/pink set.
