What I’m Loving - July

Well, here I am offering more apologies for my absence from this space (whoever out there is reading this besides my mother - Hi Kat!). B and I both got COVID in June - I ended up feeling really shitty for three days but then started feeling better. Thankful for the vaccine - I can’t imagine how horrible COVID would have been without my vaccine and booster!

July was my first month In 5 years that I have had every weekend off after resigning my ER PRN position in May. Having very weekend off is a very new but welcome change for my work/life balance.

Watching:

B was obsessed with Ted Lasso when the show first came out. I watched the first two episodes and didn’t jive with it. Well, B convinced me to give it another shot. I’m glad I have it another shot - once I hit episode 3, I really got into it! I am now fully obsessed.

Reading:

In light of Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee, I picked up these books to get some more background on the House of Windsor. Tina Brown wrote both The Diana Chronicles and The Palace Papers with tons of background knowledge from her career as a journalist for Vanity Fair and Tatler, two UK publications. I have reviews for both of these coming up so stay tuned!

Planning:

After waiting two additional years, B and I are finally going to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary by taking a trip to London and Paris! I’ve been utilizing the Rick Steves website for some primary itinerary information for both cities as well as the London and Paris pocket guides (complete with a fold out map!)

Lots of posts will be forthcoming about our trip (which will be in the winter) so stay tuned for those!

Please share what you’re currently loving in the comments!
