Well, here we are already in the first full week of September and I neglected my little corner of the internet for a whole month.

August brought a big change to my life. After struggling for the past year in the Emergency Department and having a lot of issues with anxiety, I made the difficulty decision to step away from emergency medicine and pursue a different area of nursing. I took a position at a different hospital in the interventional cardiology department. Moving from bedside nursing into a procedural area has been a huge adjustment but I’m learning so much and genuinely feel like I am actually helping my patients.

I’ll be sharing more about the adventures of nursing as I become more comfortable in this new department/specialty. What I’ve taken away from this is never be afraid to make a change, especially in a career as diverse and vast as nursing.
