Birdies Shoe Review
So, this is one of those items I saw advertised on Instagram and I was intrigued about the brand. Dressy shoes that are comfortable enough to feel like slippers? YES!
As I've gotten into my 30's, I want and need shoe options that can go from casual to dressy but are still comfortable. I chose to go with the
Heron in Black Velvet. I ordered a size 7.5, which is my normal size. On first try-on they did feel a hair tight but I'm thinking based on how the material feels, they will stretch out with wear.
The shoes arrive in a beautifully branded box and also come with a dust bag. I really appreciate having dust bags especially for flats because that protects them for travel. I'm hoping that these will become my go-to shoes for conferences (if they ever return!) as well as interviews and professional events.
The insole has 7 layers including arch and heel support. The gold quilted layer is incredibly soft. And I love the angled detail on the top - I feel like that elevates what would normally be a basic black flat.
I also like that the shoe does have a hint of a heel - just a smidge at 10 mm but enough to add a bit of sophistication!
So far I have really enjoyed wearing these and find them to be pretty comfortable. The basic styles (such as the Heron I purchased) retail for $95 but you can easily find either 10% discount codes or referral codes to bring the price down.
