Wizarding World Gold - The Keys and Curios Journal
Whether you are a witch, a wizard, or a muggle, if you have any knowledge of the Harry Potter world then I'm sure you've heard that Pottermore, the quintessential website for all things Harry Potter and JK Rowling has recently been rebranded as
Wizarding World to encompass the world of Fantastic Beasts as well as Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
One of the big pushes to grow the Wizarding World is the option to purchase a
Wizarding World Gold subscription. It retails for $74.99/year and includes a host of perks for members, such as:
- digital access though the Wizarding World app to all 7 of the Harry Potter books
- discounts at the Warner Brothers Studio Tour London, Platform 9 3/4 at King's Cross, Cursed Child productions in San Francisco, New York, and London, and on vacation packages at Universal Studios Orlando Resort
- limited edition pins at some of the above locations
- the customized Keys and Curios journal that includes a pin and a sketch of Hogwarts
The journal comes beautifully packaged in a matte black outer covering. The bookmark that has the magnetic flying key pin holds it together.
A postcard-sized card with JK Rowling's original drawing of Hogwarts and the grounds is also included. This is perfect to either frame or to use as a bookmark.
The journal is personalized to you, so it has your name and your house color scheme. The month of your birthday is also personalized with your actual birth date!
The quality of the journal is fantastic. The metallic detailing on the outside is gorgeous and there are no signs of flaking or fading.
As far as the value of Wizarding World Gold, I think that it is definitely worth the $74.99 price tag ig you are going to be able to take advantage of the other perks, like physically going to London to the Studio Tour or to New York to see the Cursed Child to get discounts on tickets and the free pins. It's pretty cool that you get the digital copies of the books in the app for as long as you have the membership - it would be awesome if they included audiobook versions of the books as well.
I'm interested to see what other perks they roll out for 2020.
You can buy Wizarding World Gold
