Planning Our Holiday Wizarding World Trip

Yup, that's right! B and I are planning on going back to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter during the holiday season to enjoy the magic with holiday ambience!

Last year when we went in October,  everything was set up for Hollywood Horror Nights and while we aren't super huge Halloween/scary movie fans, B asked "Why didn't we plan this trip for closer to the holidays?" Universal decks out all the parks for the Christmas season and there are special food and drinks throughout the park.

Some of the things I can't wait for:

• hot Butterbeer!
• Celestina Warbeck and the Banshees Christmas Special
• seeing Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade decked out in Christmas lights
• riding Hagrid's Magical Motorbike Adventure for the first time

This time around, we will be straying from Loews Sapphire Falls and staying at one of the premier Loews resorts, Royal Pacific. It is located right next door to Sapphire Falls so it still has the water taxi option for transportation but just a few more amenities. I'm looking into booking a room on their Club Level, which comes with a bunch of extra perks like free happy hour, sweet treats hour, and free continental breakfast.

In addition to those perks (and tons more, the whole list can be found at the link above) all guests who stay at the premier line of resorts (Royal Pacific, Portofino Bay, and Hard Rock) get free Express Passes to Universal so you can skip the regular lines in addition to early park entry. In my opinion, those perks alone make staying on site worth it.
