Harry Potter World: Preliminary Packing & Planning
If you have been around me for any length of time throughout my life, then you are fully aware of my obsession with Harry Potter. I cried multiple times while reading the final book because I was not ready for Harry's story to be over. When Universal Studios announced the Harry Potter World theme park, I swore I would go there and rock out in my Harry Potter geekiness.
B and I finally sat down, found a few days where I had off and the flights were cheap (holla Southwest Airlines!) so we bit the bullet and booked everything!
Since we are leaving early (right after I am done with work) and coming home literally two days later, I was considering my packing and realized that I really don't need to take much since we will only be gone for maybe 48 hours or so.
(yes, that is a Hufflepuff backpack)
I narrowed down my choices to my LV Duffel Bag (found it for a steal and it's vintage from the 80's! I love old school LV pieces!) and a backpack, plus a small cross body purse to take with me into the park.
What I Packed:
- 1 set of pajamas
- underwear, bras, and socks
- 2 pairs of black leggings (wearing sweatpants on the plane)
- Birkenstocks
- a hat
- 2 t-shirts
- a swimsuit
- toiletry bag
- quart-sized liquids bag
- my iPad and headphones
- Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone paperback Hufflepuff edition
- a baseball hat
- sunglasses
I'll be posting an update about our trip and how my extremely minimal packing worked out!
