For January, Birchbox collaborated with SELF Magazine for a New Year, New Perspective box full of goodies to help you refresh and reset for the new year.

Out of these 5 products, I'm only going to be using three of them - the Shiseido cleansing oi, Chella eyebrow gel and the eye pads. I've gotten probably 6 cans of Klorane dry shampoo in the past two years with Birchbox and it leaves a white cast in my hair so I don't like to use it. And let me tell you, I am totally inept at using any sort of eyeliner so that will be getting passed on to a friend's daughter who actually knows how to apply makeup.

This was my last month with Birchbox. I cancelled my subscription and I'm going to give the Sephora PLAY! box a few more months. In all honesty I find myself passing products on to other people more than actually using them myself and what is the point in spending the $10 if I'm not going to use half the products in the box?
