2016 Year in Review
This past year brought so much change and I got so many awesome opportunities. While some people on the internet are all "Go kick rocks 2016, we hate you!" because of the deaths of some amazing people like David Bowie, Prince, Alan Rickman, and Carrie Fisher, I'm over here commiserating and thinking that 2016 really wasn't so bad!
- I graduated from a very intense nursing program (my program has the highest NCLEX pass rate in the state for the past 6 years)
- I passed NCLEX and got my nursing license
- I accepted a position as an RN at a Level 1 Trauma Center on the Orthopedic/Orthopedic Trauma unit
- I said goodbye to a job that my heart wasn't in anymore
- I was able to get to know more of my Oiselle and BibRave running peeps
- I participated in more running events with the Oiselle WI ladies
- I got to attend Bird Camp in September (yes, I know my recap isn't up yet!)
- I joined Team Bird to chase my 26.2 and 50K goals!
- I started running with Arthur and he is just the best running partner!
- I finally got to spend some time with B, family, and friends instead of my textbooks.
- I got to meet Kathryn Budig in Chicago and take a yoga class taught by her.
- I added another tattoo to my repertoire (and I now have plans for 2 more!)
I've been working on my goals for 2017 (no need to call them resolutions, that just begs for them to not come to fruition!) and I'll be sharing those here on Monday.
I hope you have a safe, fun, and happy New Year's!
