October Sephora PLAY! Box

I realize this is posting in November, my apologies.

October was the first month of my Sephora PLAY! subscription. I've gotten tired of getting the same samples from Birchbox month after month, so I wanted to try something different.

As far as I know, you have to go on a waitlist to sign up for Sephora PLAY! and they will e-mail you when spots are available. Don't delay signing up once you get the e-mail...the first time I did it, I waited a few hours and there were no more spots.

Each box is $10 + tax and is shipped by the 10th of the month.

The samples come in a cute cloth bag that can be reused for a gift bag, makeup bag, or whatever else your imagination can come up with.

In this month's PLAY! box:

Smashbox Always On Matte Liquid Lipstick - Driver's Seat

Matte liquid lipstick keeps going for eight hours with a water-resistant, non-feathering formula.

Christophe Robin Regenerating Mask with Rare Prickly Pear Seed Oil

Sumptuous and full of antioxidants, this conditioning hair mask strengthens strands while enhancing floor and shine.

Skin Inc. Pure Revival Peel

Advanced, non-abrasive peel gently sloughs away dead skin cells to reveal a bright, renewed complexion.

Blinc Mascara Amplified

Innovative "tube technology" mascara coats lashes with easy-to-remove, tiny water-resistant tubes that won't run, smudge, or flake.

Belif The True Cream Aqua Bomb

Bypass dryness with this lightweight gel-cream, made to tighten the look of skin and sink in for a smooth, supple feel.

Yves Saint Laurent Mon Paris

Inspired by a love for the sophistication and allure of Paris, this scent layers fruity and floral notes over a musky base.

Included in each month's box is a card that, when you show it in-store, you get an additional 50 points on your Sephora Beauty Insider account. You also get 10 points for each box, since they cost $10.

Each month comes with a fragrance pick, but the fragrances are usually ones that are more heard of than what Birchbox includes. The ones I used to get in my Birchbox always smelled like men's cologne dipped in a flower (or, not pleasant-smelling).

I'm excited to try out these brands, especially since the hair and face ones are new to me.
