October Birchbox
After much deliberation and getting my first Sephora PLAY! box, I think I'm going to stick with Birchbox till the end of the year.
October's box was all about soothing standouts that help you revive and restore yourself.
In my box:
GLAMGLOW POWERMUD Dualcleanse Treatment
Featuring ultrarare Brazilian white clay, this detoxifying mask transforms from mud to oil to deeply clean and soften.
Avene Hydrance Optimale Hydrating Cream RICH
This super nourishing face cream restores skin's natural moisture barrier and balances hydration levels 24/7.
This Works deep clean pillow spray
Clinically proven to aid a good night's rest, this infusion of lavender and chamomile helps you fall asleep faster.
Oribe Gold Lust Dry Shampoo
This gold-standard dry shampoo instantly cleans while boosting strength and silkiness, minus any texture or weight.
MAKE Silk Cream Lipstick in Magnolia
Long-lasting and smudge-proof, this hydrating, antioxidant-rich lipstick does double duty as a lip treatment.
I actually like everything in this box! And it's been a long time since I could say that about any box I've gotten from Birchbox.
There were two of the pillow sprays in my box, so I've been using one on my pillows at night (well, during the day because #nightshiftlife) and I have the other one in my guest room for others to use. The smell isn't overwhelming, like lavender can sometimes be, and is very soothing.
I've had the opportunity to try many different Oribe products through Birchbox (and it's not something I'd ever buy myself because it's so expensive) so I put the dry shampoo in my gym bag to use after a good sweat session.
Magnolia is a beautiful mauve/berry color that I think will be beautiful for the holidays. I don't usually get super adventurous with lip color but this one is neutral enough that I think I'll get some decent wear out of it. Plus, it's clutch-sized.
Glam Glow makes such awesome products and I'll be trying this out, albeit sparingly. Since my dermatologist started me on another acne medication for my skin, my face hates everything I put on it.
So, we shall see how Birchbox fares the rest of the year. I'm considering trying out a different runner box subscription and nixing this one...stay tuned!
