Recovery is a large part of running. Not only do you need those recovery and rest days for your mind and your legs, but for your feet as well.

Enter: OOFOS.

The perks compared to a normal sandal:
  • the custom designed foam absorbs more shock than a normal sandal
  • assists with decreasing the stress on your joints
  • lightweight and waterproof
  • will not change shape over time
  • enables your foot to move more naturally when walking

As a runner, I spend a lot of time figuring out what footwear is going to be of benefit before, during, and after a run.

These sandals are an excellent option for wear after a run or workout. The foam allows your foot to be supported without being too squishy or too firm, which I really enjoyed. I have naturally nigh arches that just CRAVE that extra support after a run. The foam makes the sandals pliable and comfy to wear.

The design of the sandals force your foot to stretch and move in a natural way when you're walking post-run. Also a bonus: the toe part of the sandal is not irritating whatsoever!

OOFOS are also waterproof, perfect for that post-run dip (or ice bath!)

Of course, if your running partner has four legs, they might need a pair for recovery as well!

Sliding these on after a run has been so enjoyable and I have noticed a significant difference in how my feet, knees, and hips feel post-run since I've begun wearing them. I also enjoy putting them on after a long 12-hour day at work (I'm on my feet 99.9999% of the time!)

There are many different styles and colors for both men and women and can be purchased directly through OOFOS, Amazon, or your local running store!

OOFOS is sponsoring #BibChat on Tuesday, August 30th at 8 pm CST on Twitter. Come join us and talk recovery!
