Friday Love List

I've been feeling pretty uninspired to blog lately. Well, not just in blog-land, but in everything. I've been in that weird in-between area of life where I'm saying goodbye to a job that I thought would be where I started my nursing career and moving on to a new adventure. While I'm sad that I won't be working with those spectacular kids anymore, I can't let that drag me down as I begin my nursing career.

However, getting my orientation schedule yesterday has made this feel all the more real and reinforced that this is a 100% positive thing for me and where I am in my life. So I'll go into my last weekend of pediatrics with a smile on my face and enjoy these last two days with the nurses that I am lucky to call my coworkers and to have learned from.

There are brighter days ahead!

Anyways, here's some things I loved this week.

(Water bottle, MAMBI planner)

Most of you know that I am obsessed with rose gold everything. I've been looking for a water bottle that doesn't end up having condensation on the outside and I got lots of recommendations for this S'well water bottle that comes in, of course, rose gold.
Since I'm starting a new job and I will have much more to keep track of than what will fit in my little MM sized planner, I picked up the Me and My Bid Ideas Happy Planner in the 18 month with rose gold foiling. I like the horizontal format compared to the vertical layout of the Erin Condren planners - although I know that EC now offers a horizontal planner, I'm not about spending $75+ on a spiral-bound planner. I had a 40% off coupon to use at my local Hobby Lobby so it only ended up being ~$18. There's also a bunch of matching rose gold accessories. This line is available exclusively at Hobby Lobby for the time being.

(recipe from here)

Inspired by binge-watching MasterChef, I've been trying to get more into cooking at home for a few reason. One is to save some money since we eat out WAY too much. Two is to integrate more healthy food into what myself and B eat, since it's so easy to just grab junk food.
I've always wanted to try ratatouille and I found a slow cooker recipe (because who doesn't love throwing everything in a pot and leaving it for 9 hours?) to try out.
I served it with parmesan crusted chicken breasts and shaved parmesan on top of the veggies. I really liked how the ratatouille turned out and I would make it again to serve over pasta maybe with chicken in the veggies.

I got a surprise package from the lovely people at The North Face - Chicago yesterday! This is my second year running the half marathon at The North Face Endurance Challenge Series - Wisconsin and I can't wait to crush those trails!

If you're interested in this race (Sept. 17-18), check out their website and register here - use code BIB15 to save 15%!

I'm hoping to get my mojo back as I have off all next week before the new job starts, so I'm gonna hit up the trails and kick myself into gear!

Have a great weekend!
