Weekend Recap

The absolute craziness of the semester has hit somewhat of a lull at the moment (although I will probably regret saying that, LOL) and I've worked ahead in some of my classes so I'm going to try to get posts up more regularly. I have 71 days until my pinning ceremony and 77 days until my last final of this ADN program!

Apparently my theme for this weekend was "Sign up for #alltheraces!"
I was chosen to represent BibRave at the Urban Bourbon Half Marathon in October in Louisville, KY and I'm so excited! There were a handful of Pros who did it last year and absolutely loved it, so I'm very excited to see for myself!
(P.S. If you want to register, you can save 10% with code " BourbonRave2016" and check out reviews of the race on BibRave.com!)

I also signed up for the Brew City Half Marathon on April 2nd, which is a local half marathon that has a beer glass shaped medal and you get beer at the finish line! The registration is on the low side for a half, so if you wanna take advantage of a $52.99 registration, check them out! The price goes up on March 3rd!

Since the weather was nice the past few days (Sunday was in the 50s!) I decided to go get all the salt and snow residue washed off my poor Elsa (2004 Volkswagen Touareg) and washed all my car agents (yes I'm THAT person). I took Arthur along and he did so good in the car wash! He shook a little bit but once I gave him some ear scratches he calmed down. I try to take him everywhere I can so that someday, when we are doing therapy dog certification, he can acclimate to different environments easily.

I signed up Arthur and I to do the Tails On The Trail 5K that benefits the Wisconsin Humane Society (Arthur is an alumni!) so we started his 5K training yesterday! I was instructed to wait until he was over 1 year old (he turned 1 on January 20th) due to his bones still growing. We are starting with a couple weeks (probably 5-6, depending on the weather since I can't take him to the gym to run on the track in inclement weather, LOL) of running 2-3 blocks, walking 3 blocks, all at an easy pace. He is SUCH a good running buddy.

His OOTD details:
Collar is from RuffWear, purchased on Amazon
Harness is from RuffWear, purchased on Amazon
Running Leash is from Tuff Mutt Pets, purchased on Amazon

The front clip harness was a wonderful investment; it keeps him from pulling!

I hope you all have a wonderful Monday!
