Weekend Recap
I have been sidelined from blogging because of school and a nasty cold that decided to take up residence in my lungs the past two weeks. I do finally feel better, but whatever's going around right now can kiss my butt. Stay healthy out there, peeps!
Saturday brought the Olympic Trials in LA and Oiselle had 18 (!!!) women vying for a spot on Team USA. Several of the MKE-area birds came over and we had lots of snacks while cheering on our ladies! Although Kara Goucher came in 4th, she ran her heart out and that's all we could have asked for. Another Oiselle runner (and fellow Wisconsinite!), Caitlin Comfort, came in the top 25 runners as well!

Since getting sick, I have not gotten any workouts or running in (it's hard to run when you can't breathe), I need to kick myself in the butt and get back into my groove. Winter running has always been challenging for me and I usually do all my winter runs on a treadmill at the gym. I'm contemplating getting some Yaktrax for my shoes (I fear falling and busting my face outside). I also need to start training with Arthur, since he and I are doing a 5K together in June.
Kathryn Budig, who is an awesome yoga instructor and a very inspirational person, is releasing her first book next month. I happened to check out her book tour dates and saw that she was going to be teaching a yoga class in Chicago with a reception and book signing after. The date happens to fall during my spring break so I jumped at the chance and got a ticket! B's cousin lives in Chicago and said she would be happy to go with me, so we're gonna do a girl's night!
This semester is trucking along and it's a lot of work, but the end result will be so worth it!
I hope you all have a happy Monday out there!
