Keep The Cold Out with Buff USA Hoodie

In the past year as a BibRave Pro, I've had the opportunity to test some awesome running gear. Several of those products came from Buff USA. They are an amazing brand with gear for just about every activity you can think of - fishing, hunting, running, yoga, and cycling, just to name a few.
The Hoodie is one of their new products. Made with wool neck protection (double layered so that you can either have one layer on your neck and the other covering your face, or wear both layers around your neck) and a Polartec Thermal Pro hood that is designed to fit over a helmet (for the snow sporting/cycling peeps). There are pull ties to cinch it around your face as much as you prefer.
Living in the Midwest, we have had some brutal winters the past few years. In fact, it's those brutal winters that seem to cause me to run much less in the winter than I do in the summer. The feeling of any mucous in my nose freezing inside my nostrils is just not pleasant, so I've been searching for something that I can wear to cover my face and keep me warm, but not cause moisture to hang out on my face (don't want it to freeze to my chin and cheeks!).
And of course, I can never try any gear without sharing it with Arthur, there resident BibRave Pup. :)
I wore the Buff Hoodie outside for two short runs (it's been negative degrees here!) and I was very surprised at how much the hood blocked any wing and that the face piece was breathable yet kept my face comfortable. I have an issue with cold weather where my body increases histamine release in response to cold, so I tend to get hives all over any area that is exposed. It was nice to not have itchy hives covering my cheeks post-run!
This has also come in handy for the 3 days in a row that we got snow and I needed to go shovel mine and my neighbor's sidewalks.

One of my favorite parts of all the Buff USA products I've tried is that they are all multipurpose and made incredibly well. I've bought several as gifts for friends and mayyyyybe a few for myself as well. I 100% recommend this and well, any of their products, to be honest.
Buff USA is sponsoring #BibChat on Tuesday, Jan. 19th at 8 pm CST on Twitter. Come join us, converse with other runners and Buff USA, and you might win some cool gear!
