Friday Love List
Look at me, trying to bring back some of my normal posts!
I start school next Tuesday, so I'm trying to get some posts written and scheduled before the craziness of this semester begins.
Anyways, here's a few things I loved this week.
I've been a Dansko fan for the past 4-ish years. Working in healthcare, I'm on my feet for sometimes 12 hours at a time, only sitting down to eat or feed a baby. My previous pair lasted me three years before they finally cracked across the top and I decided it was time for a new pair. I found this leopard pair and I'm in love with them. They're super comfy and I've had many a nurse and doctor compliment them. Plus since they're somewhat "neutral", they go with every color of scrub pants I have.
Move over, Bath & Body Works 3-Wick Candles. I've been OBSESSED with these soy candles that you can find at Target. Yes, TARGET. And they are $10 for a 15.3 oz 2-wick candle that burns much cleaner that those B&BW ones. Pinky Peony is one of the new spring scents and I've bought a couple of them and have them burning all over my house. So basically my house smells like a peony garden. :)
If you've spent any time around here, you know that I'm a total Type A planner nerd. I just added a vintage pre-loved binder agenda to my repertoire (for when I'm done with school and need a more professional-looking planner) and stumbled across
Sessavee, an online stationary shop that has some of the cutest planner accessories. I purchased just a few things: marbled "Remember" sticky notes, rose gold icon stickers (rose gold!!!) in arrows, hearts, and coffee cups, and a small school-themed pack of stickers with rose gold foiling. Everything is very well-priced and it shipped quite fast!
Being a member of the Volee Team for Oiselle, I sometimes forget about how awesome our elite runners are. Lauren Fleshman is so inspirational and I stumbled across this quote of hers this past week (Sally Bergesen, Mother Bird, shared it on
Twitter along with a blog that Lauren wrote for Oiselle's
website). What a great reminder that who you are is enough. #womanup2016
My best friend has been using
Blue Apron for a couple months now and sent me a code for a free week to try it out. My order arrived on Wednesday and I'm going to make two of the recipes today (one for lunch and another for dinner). I'm intrigued by the pork ragu and the salmon recipe sounds delicious :) I know that B is going to like the pork and chicken options, although he's not a big fan of salmon so that one's all me. Not sure if I will keep the subscription because it's quite expensive, but it was fun to try! I'll update with how the recipes went once we've eaten them!
I hope you all have a lovely weekend! I'll be living it up as it's my last weekend before the semester starts!
