Shake It Up

Last July, I had the opportunity to try out a vegan protein powder from Everest Nutrition as part of the BibRave Pro ambassador program. (You can check out that review here.)

Since I began my fitness journey a few years ago and really started to take my nutrition seriously, I have tried a ton of different protein powders.  I found a couple that I liked, but most of them were gritty, didn't blend well, or had ingredients I was not comfortable with.


The Everlast Vegan Protein is one of the few that I've consistently used and loved since I first tried it out. No grittiness, a good flavor, and it blends awesome both mixed with some almond milk or in the Nutribullet with lots of fruits and spinach. 

I've also been exploring other ways to increase my protein intake, since I'm trying to put on muscle (and I don't want to gnaw on chicken all day long!) and I'm going to try making protein pancakes and muffins!

Other important parts of my shake-making:
- Blender Bottles
- chia seeds
- greek yogurt
- Justin's Nut Butters
- the NutriBullet (and people, don't pay full price! They're on sale at Kohl's all the time!)

I also love myself a Picky Bar as a snack (and the company is run by fellow Bird, Lauren Fleshman!)
