Jam on the Run with Plantronics

"Disclaimer: I received a pair of Plantronics BackBeat Fit headphones as part of being a BibRave Pro. Learn more about becoming a BibRave Pro (ambassador), and check out BibRave.com to review find and write race reviews!"

Music is a very integral part of my running. From the start, I needed that beat to keep me going. I quickly graduated from my iPhone earbuds (which, let's face it, do not stay in during strenuous activity and are NOT comfortable) to a pair of yurbuds, which I've used for the past two years.

Until now. Because my life is all about the BackBeat Fit from here on out. :)

The Plantronics BackBeat Fit are bluetooth headphones that work seamlessly with your phone so that you can listen to music anywhere without having a tangle of wires from headphones or earbuds.

I wore them for a handful of training runs and then for my most recent race, the Madison Mini (race recap here).

What I love about them:

  • extremely lightweight and flexible - can barely feel them on
  • very easy to use and come with simple, concise instructions
  • able to adjust the volume without using my phone
  • held up running through misting stations
  • don't give pressure points around my ears
  • can also answer phone calls with the touch of a button!

Each pair comes with a USB charging cable and a case that can also be used as an armband to hold your phone while you're running. I have not used the case as an armband because the strap is way too big for my little chicken wing arms. Setup instructions are very simple and clear; literally took me five minutes to have them working.

Arthur the BibRave Pup also rocks them.

Overall, I personally think that the BackBeat Fit is a solid product that has earned a permanent place in my gear bag.

The BackBeat Fit retails for $129.99 and comes in blue or green.

Plantronics is sponsoring #BibChat on Tuesday, Sept. 1st at 8 pm CST. Come join us, talk music and tech, and mayyyyybe you would win something cool!
