Monday Funday
Well hello to all of you out there!
I'm hoping to get back into the routine of getting posts up on a regular basis now that some of my school stuff has died down and the situations regarding my two car accidents is mostly taken care of.
B and I are now (again) on the hunt for a car. The only thing that is worse than car shopping is house shopping, in my opinion. However, getting driven around by the husband is a small perk :)
One of the essentials when going to look at cars: road snacks. Picky Bars are my new obsession. Lauren Fleshman (or Fleshman Flyer, as Oiselle runners refer to her as), a professional runner, created these with her husband Jesse, a professional triathlete, and their friend Steph, a pro marathoner. Picky Bars are available as monthly delivery to your home and you can pick how many you wish to receive (12, 18, or 24) and how many of each flavor you would like. My favorite are Cinnamon Blazin' Raisin (pictured above) and Blueberry Bombizzle. Also when you sign up for a new subscription, they send you a free t-shirt :)
I've been spending a lot of time organizing everything in my life, since school takes up about 99% of my awake time. I picked up this Fuchsia Personal-sized Filofax from Amazon for a steal and use Kate Spade planner inserts. Oh, and tons of cute Post-It notes and colored pens. Because Type A.
B picked up this special brew from Lakefront Brewery at the grocery store last week. It's a pretty decent-tasting ale, not watery and full-bodied. I may or may not have had 2 or 3 over the weekend (watching the Packers get spanked prompted me to pop one open).
This is Riley's best "Please give me that bacon you're eating. I'm cute" face. I only get this particular face when B and I have breakfast for dinner.
Sporting a big smile after an awesome BodyAttack class on Sunday morning. (There's no other reason I would be up before 10 am on one of my precious off days.) My YMCA was bought by another YMCA and they are getting rid of all the Les Mills programs (which I think is the most stupid thing ever, but what do I know, I'm just paying $60 a month to belong there) so this was the last Sunday morning BodyAttack. I'm also sporting my new favorite sweatshirt that says "Rise and Shine, Today We Run" from Minerva, a local company that sells women's running apparel. It's super soft and not overly thick, so it's comfortable and warm without feeling bulky.
My advanced med-surg class has spent the last four weeks studying cardiac disorders. With our exam coming up in one short week, I decided that spending some time looking over this stuff would probably be a good idea. #nursingstudentlife
I hope everyone has a great Monday!
