Weekend Recap

Wow...I was at work in some capacity every day last week. You wanna know how long it's been since I did that? Embarrassingly it was indeed quite awhile ago.

Today marks the first day of my last year of nursing school. My class schedule sucks this semester, but hopefully next semester will be more flexible.

During my 12-hour shift on Friday, I tried being more positive about working 12 hours on a Friday and had a great time with the kids I was taking care of. And of course, my coworkers are awesome so we had a blast!

Yes, this is the current state of my desk. I spent half the day on Saturday trying to clear it off and halfway succeeded. Sometimes I wish I would just take a garbage bag and put all the extraneous crap right into the trash. I did purge quite a bit, but I can guarantee by the end of the week, my desk will look exactly the same. Story of my life.

My poor Nike Flex running shoes that I wore in my last two half marathons died. The padding/arch was so worn down that even wearing them around the house caused my feet to hurt.
I popped into Kohl's just to peruse around the shoe department (and I had a 15% off coupon at the ready, just in case) and saw these Asics and FELL IN LOVE. I'm pretty sure that if a unicorn puked, it would look like these shoes. Originally $85, they were on sale for $68.99 and with my 15% off that brought the price down to $59. Which is awesome for a pair of good running shoes. I wore them to the gym on Sunday and so far so good!

So you can see them on. Neon pink shoes for the win.

Riley thought that he was deserving of my dinner (cheddar bacon burger with BBQ sauce and avocado, corn on the cob, and grilled potatoes with peppers and onion and cheese) and was laying the begging on THICK.

For the first time in quite a while, I tried out a Sally Hansen polish. This color is Coral Reef and I picked it up a few months ago at Ulta (I heard they changed the formula of this color and Pacific Blue so I picked up one of each) and I really love the color! It is quite similar to Essie's Cute As A Button, if you're curious.
I also used my Julep Ta-Da Quick-Dry Drops and I think they worked rather well! They don't dry your polish instantly but they greatly speed up the process. And they smell nice.

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend!

Also, Laura of Life With LoLo won my giveaway!
Go check out her blog, she's awesome!

Thanks to everyone that entered and I have another one coming up quickly so stay tuned!
