Weekend Recap
It seems that summer has arrived in Milwaukee!
(Well, except for the three hours of thunderstorms on Sunday evening.)
I'm not one to turn my nose up at 80 degree weather, especially since we had such a ridiculously long winter and essentially no spring.
I decided, after two weeks of giving my nails a break from polish, that it was time to spruce them up for summer. I decided on Essie's First Timer (the green) with an Essie I'm Addicted accent nail. I picked up the I'm Addicted at Target last week and love it. It's a really beautiful, pool-colored blue. I will warn you, it is a pretty thin, watery formula that definitely needs at least two coats.
My work has an employee appreciation picnic at the zoo every year. I went with some of my coworkers (my husband decided to go to a Brewers game instead) and got to feed goats, pet stingrays, and see the monkeys on Monkey Island clean each other. :) Oh, and I picked up this little friend in the gift shop. Meet Stuart the three-toed sloth.
On Saturday evening, we joined some friends at a place called The Umbrella Bar. It's an outdoor bar (it has a building with all glass sliding doors where the bar is actually housed) that overlooks The Rock sports complex in Franklin. There's seating areas with beautiful views and they even have bags games set up.
Sunday was spent going to the gym in the AM, then cleaning and doing laundry while storms rolled through the area. B joined me on my run in the evening, which was a pleasant surprise. Maybe I'll convert him?!
Hope you all had a lovely weekend (hopefully without storms).
