Friday Love List & #backthatazzup
Man, I cannot go out during the week anymore. A bunch of the lovely ladies I work with and I went out for a going away party (one of our nurses is moving to a different floor at our hospital) and I had two (yes, only two!) beers and I felt a little bit intoxicated! B's best friend was getting off work around the time I was leaving so he picked me up and gave me a ride home.
I'm a old lady, I should stay in on weeknights. Moral of the story.
Anyways, here's some stuff I loved this week.
The #RWRunStreak continues! If you follow me on Instagram (and if you're not, why aren't you?!) I update every day with my distance (and sometimes ridiculous pictures of my dog). I'm pretty proud of myself that I've made it this far. 7 more days to go!
I had heard a lot about this book and I know a few people that have done the Whole30 food cleanse. I figured I would pick up the book and give it a read. I'm all about being healthier (within reason) and trying out new things. So we will see.
Riley got his teeth cleaned on Tuesday! (This picture was two hours after he came out of anesthesia, he was a little messed up!) The vet had to extract one tooth that was loose and cracked, so he did get two stitches. And he got an awesome pink bandage. And his breath smells like unicorn farts :)
I love getting my yoga in every week. To me, there is nothing more relaxing than being able to forget about everything else in life and just focusing on what my body is doing. If you have never tried yoga, I encourage you to find a local yoga studio and try it out! Most places will give you a free week or something so that you can see if you like it.
My second go-around with the frozen Trader Joe's veggie burger went much better than the first. The first time, I made it in the microwave according to the preparation instructions and it tasted okay, but a little mushy. The second time, I made it in a skillet (3 minutes on each side, in some EVOO) and it tasted much better! To make it a more tasty sandwich, I added some cheddar cheese, mashed up avocado, and spinach. So delicious!!!!
This is why I should never be able to shop at American Eagle when they're having a clearance sale. Everything is an extra 40-60% off and I found this shirt. If I had a shirt soulmate, it would be this one. Because I brunch like it's my JOB.
Ahhhh the Tone It Up girls are on the cover of FitnessRX magazine! I love them, their workouts, and their positivity! I've been contemplating joining their nutrition plan (but I might wait until Cyber Monday because they always have a bunch of membership packages where you get a ton of stuff for about the same cost as joining the nutrition plan) but I have the Beach Babe 2 dvd that I've been doing workouts from as well as some of their YouTube workouts.
Hope you all have a fantastic weekend!
