March Stridebox
I've been kind of "meh" when it comes to the various running subscription boxes available. Stridebox has been okay so far; I'm going to give it a few more months before I decide whether to continue or cancel.
In my March box:
Honey Stinger Protein Bar in Dark Chocolate Cherry Almond
Made with 25% honey, 10g protein, and 22 vitamins and minerals, this bar is a great between run snack or an after run recovery bar.
Hylands Bioplasma Sport with Electrolytes
Developed to dissolve instantly on the tongue or in water, Bioplasma Sport keeps you invigorated whether training or on race day.
Lenny & Larry's Fit Protein Brownie
Packed with 13g of protein, 7g of fiber, and no artificial ingredients, this gluten-free bar is a guilt-free way to snack.
Fluid Recovery Drink Mix in Chocolate Wave
Made from 100% natural ingredients, this great tasting recovery drink contains complex carbohydrates to restore muscle energy levels.
Skin Strong Slather Anti-Chafing Cream
Subtle cooling formula protects against chafing and hot spots. Can be used before to prevent chafing or to moisturize after your run.
GU Energy Electrolyte Brew in Lemon Lime
Featuring a 2:1 ration of complex to simple carbohydrates and a mildly sweet flavor, GU Brew will keep you going on your most grueling runs.
GU Energy Gel in Salted Caramel
This seasonal flavor could soon become a mainstay in the GU gel line. Great taste and all the energy you'll need.
Stash Sports Lace Locker
Looking for a solution to stopping mid-run to re-tie? Lace Locker ensures your laces never come untied to get loose again.
I would love to know who at the energy gel companies thinks that caramel/chocolate flavored gels are something people want to use. When I'm running a half marathon and need a boost, the last thing I want is the taste of salted caramel or chocolate in my mouth, especially on a hot day! So, to GU and all those other companies, STOP IT!
I'm interested to see how the Honey Stinger protein bar. I've used their energy gels in the past and I like their waffles so hopefully the protein bar will taste good!
I tried the fit brownie and let me tell you, it was no bueno. Very thick and hard to chew; my jaw hurt afterwards!
