Weekend Recap
I have to say, I'm glad Wisconsin weather is coming around to the idea of Spring. We had a wonderful weekend with warm(ish) temperatures that allowed for Riley (aka Prozac Puppy) to go on his first walk of 2014!
We were able to get together for dinner with some great friends, catch the newest episode of Cosmos, and do a bunch of spring cleaning!
My copy of Rachel Zoe's Living In Style arrived last week and I took two hours to myself to read it over the weekend. (This was my treat after I took my third nutrition exam.)
I made my first trip to the Whole Foods on the east side of Milwaukee. I picked up a bottle of kombucha (since I'm on antibiotics, I wanted another way to get probiotics besides yogurt) and they carry 471928372187 varieties of Larabars!
Riley got a bath last week and this is his favorite post for the post-bath runaround. I think that's his best downward facing dog.
On recommendation from one of my coworkers, I ordered this book. Working in neurology, I'm fascinated by all the ways different disease processes manifest and affect the brain. Super excited to read this on the way to Nashville next week!
Several Sundays in a row have seen me going to the gym at the ungodly hour of 9 am for 45 minutes of cardio and high intensity interval training. BodyAttack is definitely a class that has challenged me and my body, but it is also one of my favorite parts of the week.
Since we joined some friends of ours at Maxie's for dinner on Saturday and of course ordered brisket and brought the leftovers home, I figured avocado was the perfect thing to add! It actually tasted pretty good with the mac 'n cheese!
Prozac Puppy's first walk since we started his meds. He did pretty well; much better than I anticipated him doing.
Sunday night brings new episodes of Once Upon A Time, Cosmos, and me convincing B to drive to Kopp's and get me a tiramisu sundae (their featured sundae for March). This was a massive pile of pure deliciousness.
I hope you all had a lovely weekend and are ready to conquer the coming week!
