Friday Love List and #backthatazzup
Well, this week has been a doozy. And I would be lying if I didn't say I'm glad it's over.
From saying goodbye to one of the most courageous peanuts I've ever met to finding out that I was not going to pass my Maternal-Child theory class, I was ready to throw in the towel and curl up into a ball in bed, not emerging until January 1st.
But since I'm Polish and a Taurus and stubborn as hell, I'm picking myself up, learning from all the challenges that have faced me this week (and this whole semester, really) and moving on.
So, on that note, here's a few things that I loved this week.
Of course I have to have the requisite picture of my dog being the most adorable cuddled ever.
I made the
Spicy Sausage Pasta again, but this time I used 12 oz. of cheese IN the pasta and switched the meat from turkey sausage to polska kielbasa. B prefers the turkey sausage, I like both.
In order to work on crossing things off my to-do list, I made my 6-month trip to the dentist. I brought coffee to drink afterwards (didn't want to subject them to my morning coffee breath!) and worked on organizing my January with my Erin Condren Life Planner. (Which I promise I'm working on a review on! Probably coming in January.) Oh, and my to go mug is named Fiona. Because any inanimate object with a skirt needs a name. And a sassy one at that.
Bonus: NO CAVITIES!
I have a secret to share with you all. I'm kind of a grinch. I don't like the holidays very much, mostly because I feel like Christmas brings out the worst in people. You can't go to the mall without fighting for a parking spot, getting elbowed in a store for the last remaining whatever, and just in generally dealing with rude people. (I may or may not have gotten into it with a lady at VS Pink who tried skipping a whole line of people...)
In an effort to get myself into the holiday spirit, I painted my nails with Butter London's Chancer (similar is
Knees Up), which is a bright red with red glitter in it that I scored for free with an order from Ulta.
I also used some of my Birchbox points to buy this cute little set from Jouer, Puttin' on the Glitz. It's a cute little makeup pouch (I have too many makeup pouches, for real!) with three mini Jouer lip glosses in Riviera (red), Peony (pink) and Glisten (sparking sheer).

Like I stated above, I dislike the holidays. But this song can always at least get me smiling.
