January Birchbox
Happy 2013! My first Birchbox of the new year showed up a few days ago and I was super excited for it to arrive! I may or may not have snuck and watched the preview video that the ladies at Birchbox put together and that made me even more excited for my box.
Theme: "Best Year Ever!"
In my box:
amika Color pHerfection Shampoo
This gentle shampoo contains fortifying omega acids and healing sea buckthorn berry oil to keep your hair color bright and shiny.
Embryolisse Lait-Creme Concentre - 24-Hour Miracle Cream
A favorite of models and makeup artists, this cult French moisturizer heals dryness and leaves skin primed for foundation.
Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy
Juicy's charming scent will bring out your inner girly girl. Wild berries flirt with mandarin and soft floral notes for a fragrance that's fun and happy.
theBalm cosmetics Put A Lid On It Eyelid Primer
Keep that pretty eye shadow crease-free with this stay-put primer, which also prevents smudges and smears.
**Beauty Extra**
Juice Beauty Daily Essentials To Go
Gorgeous skin is as easy as 1-2-3 with this trio of organic must-haves: Cleansing Milk, Antioxidant Serum, and Nutrient Moisturizer.
I'm always excited to get anything amika in my Birchbox. I got a sample of this oil and purchased this mask from Birchbox and absolutely LOVE them. They work amazing on my hair and they smell wonderful.
I have been feeling adventurous with my skincare products lately, so I'm excited to try the Juice Beauty products and the Embryolisse moisturizer. My skin absolutely HATES winter in Wisconsin (which sometimes seems like 9 months out of the year) so being religious about moisturizing is a must.
I have to say, I'm getting a little sick of getting Juicy Couture perfume samples in my boxes. This is the first time I actually realized that I have several samples of the same scent, which is kind of annoying since I joined so I could have a variety of samples. Hey Birchbox, instead of all those perfume samples, you should throw more amika in my box! ;)
Not gonna lie, I rarely wear eye makeup because my eyes get so itchy (damn unpredictable allergies!) but next time I need to get all gussied up (hello wedding season! I think B and I have three this coming summer) I will have to try it out.
