Dressing for a Wedding: The Dress
Two of B and I's dear friends are getting married next June and I couldn't be happier for them. B is standing up in the wedding, which leaves all outfit anxiety fully on me. Sometimes I wonder if being a wedding guest is more stressful (outfit-wise) than standing up in a wedding.
I've been searching for a dress to wear since they announced their date last May. They chose a weekend next June, which hopefully will have perfect weather and won't be too cold since Wisconsin weather is always fickle during May/June.
After a few days last week of searching online for dresses, I identified what my actual issue with finding a dress was. I'm 25 years old, therefore I feel weird looking at dresses in the juniors sections of Kohl's or at stores like Windsor, which have adorable cocktail dresses but they're a TAD too short for a formal wedding at a country club.
Then I found THE perfect dress.
Where is this beauty from?
Ann Taylor! I had found a few dresses on Loft's website but they didn't have my size in anything (in adult women's stores, I'm usually a 00 petite since I'm so short - 5'1") so I was mentally going through the list of stores at the mall in my head and decided to check out Ann Taylor's website. I absolutely LOVE the color and that it's age-appropriate without looking dowdy. The best part? This dress was originally $158...I paid $49.88 (plus shipping)!
Now, my question to you wonderful people out there:
How would you style this dress?
